What Happens in Vegas ... STAYS on the WEB….

Be Careful! What Happens in Vegas ... STAYS on the WEB….

ALL THAT WE UPLOAD TO THE INTERNET, CAN BE PUBLIC

Have you ever read the long lists of Privacy Policy and Internet companies when they enlist an email account with them, or when they discharged Facebook?,
IMPORTANT!!!! BE AWARE OF!! BE CAREFULL!! WHATCH OUT!!

Everything WE UPLOAD to the Internet, STAYS ON THE INTERNET, IT CAN BE PUBLIC….
Although it is a fact that can be “lost” on the web somewhere BUT, when you don´t expect it, it might “appear” around and all can see it!!!!!
It´s easy, just search yourself, family or friends in engines like Google (Google you), Bing or Yahoo! and you´ll see the results.

So I suggest you think through what will appear, especially when it comes to photos, videos, or confidential or privileged information, as I said in my presentation, "What happened in Vegas ... stays on the web.!!!".
So very careful with the people you give permission to see their photos, friends of friends, and worse unknown to his friends. They may be misusing or just use of their images and content.

Today, Facebook, and social networks generally offer locks and security tools that many of you know or not know how to use, I suggest you keep an eye on your friends list, enter the security options they have in their account, and also invite you to carefully review the information that we get into this blog to be sure they are safe.

Indexing

So, have you heard of the phrase “Google has indexed” me? When “stuff” appears in Search Engines such as Google, Bing or Yahoo! It´s something often referred to, Google has indexed me… and it hardly “disappears” from the web.

Can I remove my own content from Google?

Yes, you can make “indexed stuff” disappear from the web… this is a termed called, “delist” ore “remove indexed content” or whatever is listed. All you have to do, for example, in Google. Go to http://www.google.com/support/webmasters/bin/answer.py?answer=156412&cbid=-1i622ak0jr09g&src=cb&lev=index and you will find all you need to know…

Therefore to conclude and give you some tips.

1. Think twice next time you upload stuff to the web
2. Unless, you do it safely getting to know and using the security settings of the sites you upload information to. (Facebook, Twitter, Live, etc)
3. Teach others how to….
4. Share this blog and article.
5. Start NOW

Hope this was usefull.
